#10 Js Basics and some work on Landing Page

So today I did some work on my Landing page
Well yeah couldn't reach the grind mark yet
Could only study 5 hours today
Will increase gradually over time
Studied about JS functions and did some exercise as well

So Today I couldn't do much... I need to get back on track
... Let's hit the 8-10 hour grind from tomorrow till my vacation over(Till July end) and let's see how much I can do within this time frame.... I will devote 4-5 hours on DSA and and the rest on TOP.
I have to do it.
The only person stopping me from getting things done is me.

#8 CSS Basics done and Start of JS basics

Finally completed the CSS basics part .... Though I have not yet started working on my landing page...
Right now I am using everything i know to solve the problems I face.... Well i know it's way too inefficient right at this time...but it will polish over time...my focus for now is not to write the most efficient code... It's to write a code that atleast works... I can make many more optimisations when I learn about them cause i don't know many things... For me I am just happy to see my code work..
About the JS part i installed node js on my VM using terminal (hehe that's cool) and learned about a few things today ...I think I will get a little confused from time to time because I code in C++ in DSA so yeah syntax and many things are different in both languages but let's see how I will deal with it...
I also added the number of my daily post (like this one is my 8th) .... Cause who knows maybe one day i will reach 1k posts ... Let's hope for the best..

FlexBox Blew my mind

Yeah
So as the topic you might already know what happened
Yeah so FlexBox was actually not that hard to understand but since there are so many things you can do it made my head spin
Flex wrap align items justify content and then we go through all auto shrink and basis options and their presets like auto or initial
I was able to replicate almost perfectly all the test exercises but still looking at the solution it made me realise that woah so you can get the same results just by editing only 2 lines....here i was writing and deleting 10 lines .... Well i couldn't complete the landing page today cause I think I need some more time to grasp it further and try to become more familiar...
Meanwhile I learned some basics of javascript and tomorrow I am going to install node on my VM and then try to build my landing page over a couple of days whilst learning JS..

CSS basics And FlexBox

CSS Basics and Recipe Site Done

Hello devs
So today i completed my html foundation part of TOP and built the very very basic recipe site with some pictures of the dishes as well
Apart from that i almost completed CSS fundamentals till the Box Model , Learned about Google chrome dev tools and the inspect element feature
Right now I still don't understand what it means to commit I have read some articles but I guess I will figure out sooner or later ...
I think I will complete the CSS part by tomorrow then will learn some javascript and make some projects using js...

Html basics Done

Hello devs
So I completed the basics part of html tags anchors links and images.... Well learned about some cool image format that is svg.... Using vector graphics instead of pixels.... That's awesome stuff
Tomorrow I am going to build my basic recipe site (with no CSS) yeah so it will look completely dull but it's just a learning phase for me.... Will try to make it very much appealing with CSS later on though...

Git and HTML basics

So today i installed git and connected my VM to GitHub
Well that was sure a lot of technical stuff
Type this and then that in the terminal haha .... Felt like a true coder there for a moment...
Well i learned some basic stuff about html and css and javascript what are the differences and learned something new about the meta tag .... Meta charset one..

Linux Installations..

So today was just me trying to install Linux on my virtual machine (oracle virtual box)
My experience .... Well what i think about linux is that woah it's pretty techy and movie like (enter commands to install vs code ? That's something new)
So yeah linux seemed pretty chill for now
Today I learned about IP address DNS how the internet actually works ( what you mean it's just wires) About web servers web pages and search engines( hope I will try to build one in one of my future projects) and ofcourse websites (i will be building a lot of them)
The thing that caught my mind the most was status codes ... Like today i actually understood what it meant when error 404 ... Haha you're saying that what I want you don't have it.

The Beginning

Greetings from a new dev...? Or a beginner you might say
Well today 8/6/2026 I started my web dev journey with odin project.
I have been learning some of dsa here and there as well
I will focus on these two for now
So basically I am a beginner in web dev as well as dsa
Well that's just for now
I hope my journey will be a lot of fun
I will be sharing updates about what I learned and what projects did I build
